Family Support Services Coordinator
Nolanda Kirby is the Family Support Services Coordinator at the Cecil County Circuit Court and has served in this position since 2005. In her position as Coordinator, she provides services to families who are currently separating or divorcing and/or having child custody and visitation disputes.  Such as mediation, parent coordination and interviewing children for the court. Nolanda also oversee the administrative and case management services for Family Support Services for Cecil County Circuit Court.  Nolanda is a current Mediator and Parent Coordinator. Nolanda is also a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor.

Prior to her employment with the Cecil County Circuit Court, she has been employed in many different aspects of working with children and families in the following areas: Foster Care for Baltimore City Department of Social Services, Baltimore County Coordinator of the  UMBC-Choice Program a Juvenile Service intervention program- provided intervention services to over 300 juvenile offenders; Child and Adolescent Therapist for the North Baltimore Center where she provided individual and family therapy to children and adolescents who had mental health diagnoses; and Behavioral Therapist for the University of Maryland, providing behavior management daily to children in  Baltimore City Elementary Schools and Family Support Centers.  Nolanda has trained teachers, educational support staff, case managers of community programs; and parents in working with children with mental health disorders, behavior problems, special needs children, and other various topics surrounding children and families. Nolanda’s organizational memberships include The Association of Family and Conciliation Court since 2006, Current President Elect of the Maryland Chapter of the AFCC, and has been a member of  the National Association of Forensic Counselors since 2012.
